Certified Athletic Trainer

The Athletic Trainer provides medical coverage and support for a local high school athletic program, ensuring the health and well-being of student-athletes. This role involves assessing injuries, providing medical treatment, and collaborating with the Director of Athletics and Team Physician to ensure the highest level of care.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the Sports Medicine Program at the assigned high school, providing comprehensive medical coverage and support for interscholastic athletic teams.
- Assess and treat injuries, developing and implementing appropriate preconditioning, conditioning, and reconditioning programs for athletes.
- Review and manage pre-participation medical forms and information, ensuring student-athletes' initial medical clearance to participate in interscholastic athletic programs.
- Provide athletic training services to student-athletes, including games and practices held at home sites and away sites.
- Coordinate practice/event coverage for the Athletic Department, communicating with athletic administration, coaches, parents, primary care physicians, and specialists as needed.
- Document and track athletic injuries via the established documentation system, managing the database of injury incidence.
- Design, implement, and carry out injury prevention programs with student-athletes, based on sport-specific injury trend reports.
- BOC Certification and MA Licensure as an Athletic Trainer required.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
