Job Title: Tig Welder

At Nesco Resource, we are seeking a skilled Tig Welder to join our team. As a Tig Welder, you will be responsible for welding components and assemblies using TIG welding techniques. Your primary focus will be on TIG welding, with some MIG welding experience a plus.

Responsibilities:
  • Position and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications.
  • Determine required equipment, welding method, and welding techniques.
  • Develop templates and work aids to hold and align parts.
  • Ignite torch and adjust valves, amperage, or voltage to obtain desired flame or arc on welder.
  • Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies.
  • Heat, form, and dress metal parts using hand tools, torch, or arc welding equipment.
  • Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
  • Remove rough spots from work piece using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper.
  • Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances using micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Pay and Shift Information:
  • Starting pay is $17-$25/hr BOE, with performance-based increase given upon permanent hire.
  • 1st shift 7am-3:30pm, with ability to work OT weekly.
  • Temp to Hire opportunity with the company.

Skills/Qualifications:
  • 5 years' experience in TIG welding working with materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, titanium, and others.
  • Experience with MIG welding is a plus.
  • Ability to read and follow a blueprint, read a tape measure, and perform basic math.
  • Flexibility to cross-train and help in Cleveland (West side) plant for short periods of time.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Subject to 10-panel drug screen and other pre-employment screening.
  • Must be a non-smoker.
