Job Overview

The IT Finance Operations Support Leader is a remote position focused on enhancing the global framework and digital solutions utilized by the Finance division.

This role encompasses program and project management, technological guidance, and SAP proficiency for the worldwide finance sector at Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions. You will collaborate with the Finance Business Systems team to provide IT direction concerning finance-related initiatives and projects.

Key Responsibilities:
● Deliver insightful recommendations through solutions that align with stakeholder perspectives while adhering to the global framework.
● Collaborate with stakeholder groups to facilitate impactful transformations.
● Oversee and lead the IT Support Operations team responsible for Project Systems, Finance, and Controlling.
● Work alongside client partners to integrate the program area into the organization’s overarching strategic goals and enhance business processes.
● Manage budgets and contracts linked to service purchases, software agreements, and support resources.
● Develop and maintain the technical roadmap for Project Systems, Finance, and Controlling.
● Ensure operational excellence for assigned projects, including resource allocation, project evaluations, feasibility assessments, initiation, execution, and closure.
● Provide oversight and leadership in gathering requirements, analyzing needs, and identifying alternatives for Finance organization processes.
● Comprehend intricate processes and requirements, translating them into streamlined system designs and ERP functional solutions in SAP ECC6 / S4 HANA.
● Prepare comprehensive functional requirements and specification documents to assist the technical team in developing WRICEF objects for SAP FI/CO/PS and related modules.
● Advocate for SAP best practices and implement industry-leading standards.
● Evaluate and design scalable best-in-class/emerging technologies, making non-ERP solution recommendations where relevant to contribute to the broader platform ALM.
● Oversee Finance and Project Systems interfaces with external systems and cross-module integration with other SAP modules.
● Collaborate with external AMS partners to ensure compliance with SLAs.
● Identify root causes of operational challenges, diagnose issues, and devise solutions.
● Adhere to IT standards, including general IT controls, security, data privacy, quality, and project management.

Desired Skills:
● Experience in multinational enterprise environments, collaborating with diverse global teams to deliver ERP solutions through project implementations.
● Proven track record in leading multi-functional project delivery.
● Expertise in SAP Finance and Controlling modules and their integration with other SAP modules.
● Hands-on experience with 2-3 complete SAP ECC/S4HANA implementations, showcasing strong SAP product expertise for solution design.
● Comprehensive understanding of all SAP modules and their interconnections.
● Strong analytical skills, capable of operating at the appropriate detail level for stakeholders and leading process mapping initiatives.
● Stay updated with enabling technologies, acting as a partner and change agent to gather support and promote their implementation and use.
● Full system development life cycle experience: analysis, design, coding, testing, performance tuning, and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:
● Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
● Solid experience in SAP ERP with a strong focus on FI/CO.
● Strong foundation in standard SAP processes and modules.
● Demonstrated leadership abilities in dynamic and fast-paced settings.
● Experience in Program and Project Management and/or Operations within a matrix environment.
● Background in implementing large IT systems.
● Experience with SAP integration across multiple legacy system landscapes and third-party systems.
● Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to act as a change agent and thought leader in business process development.
● Proficiency in English.
● Global experience is preferred.
● Agile and/or PMI certification is a plus.
● SAP S4HANA experience or certifications are advantageous.
● Knowledge of SAP Development (e.g., ABAP, Fiori) is beneficial.
● Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
