Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at the King of Prussia/KOP location that provides Subspecialty Care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical assisting and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine delegated clinical patient care duties in the health system medical practice to assist medical and/or nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients.
  • Ensure the office runs smoothly by performing administrative duties such as answering telephones, updating and filing patient medical records, and scheduling appointments.
  • Assist medical and nursing staff in a variety of tasks including obtaining and recording physical measurements, documenting delegated specific medical history data, and documenting vital signs and pain screens.
  • Utilize infection prevention and control procedures according to policy and assist the physician during examination and procedures.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, perform basic laboratory tests on the premises within POCT standards, and clean and sterilize medical instruments using health system standards.
Requirements
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification within 3 months of hire.
  • High School Diploma/GED required, Technical Diploma in Medical Assisting preferred.
  • At least one year of work experience in a medical office setting preferred.
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards, read, understand and respond to detailed oral and written instructions, and react and communicate clearly, calmly and effectively.
