The hotel features 268 well-appointed rooms and suites, along with five dining options and a beautifully landscaped courtyard that includes a unique coffin-shaped pool. The hotel is dedicated to showcasing the work of talented female artists through its vibrant arts program, honoring its legacy as a pioneer in female-led hospitality since 1926.
Position Overview:
The Guestroom Cleaning Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that all guest accommodations are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. This position requires a commitment to providing exceptional service to all guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meticulously clean and prepare guest rooms in accordance with established standards.
- Complete all pre-cleaning tasks, including organizing guest supplies, cleaning materials, and linens for the housekeeping cart.
- Remove all waste and soiled linens from guest rooms and corridors.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in hallways, public spaces, and storage areas.
- Restock the housekeeping cart in preparation for the following day’s tasks.
- Replenish cleaning chemical supplies as needed.
- Report any missing items from guest rooms to the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
- Notify the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager of any maintenance issues promptly.
- Handle lost and found items in accordance with hotel policies.
- Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction through attentive service.
Qualifications:
A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with experience in a hotel or similar environment. Candidates must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently. The ability to stand for extended periods is required. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with guests and team members in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
