Transportation Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and responsible Transportation Specialist to join our team at Chickaloon Native Village. As a Transportation Specialist, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers in our community, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for all.

• Operate a transit vehicle with 20 passengers or less, ensuring a safe and comfortable ride for all passengers.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections, including checking the lift, fueling, and cleaning the vehicle.
• Maintain accurate passenger counts and assist passengers as required.
• Assist with ride scheduling and attend regular meetings and trainings.

• A minimum of 2 years of responsible driving experience, preferably in the transit area. We are willing to train CNV Tribal citizens.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and leadership skills, including the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to meet competing deadlines.
• Superb verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to function well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software.

• A valid Alaska Driver's license is required for this position and the ability to be insured on CVTC's vehicle insurance policy.
• The ability to obtain a B Class CDL with Passenger endorsement and a DOT medical card within the first 180 days of hire.
