Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team at New Story School. As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs in a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Implement behavior management strategies and techniques to support students' needs.
  • Observe and record data related to behavioral concerns to assess and monitor student progress.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to support students' behavioral and developmental needs.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance expertise in behavior management and techniques.
  • Assist students in the classroom or program setting during participation in special subjects such as Physical Education, Vocational programs, and Field trips.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Genuine passion for working with children, demonstrating patience and compassion.
