Job Description:

Focusing on delivering exceptional patient care, we are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team for a travel position in a dynamic healthcare setting. As a key member of our radiology team, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate MRI equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
  • Under the direction of the Chief of Radiology and the Imaging Services Director, perform related technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care.
  • Interview patients to explain MRI procedures, address concerns, and exhibit tact, courtesy, and poise when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols, requesting removal of hazardous metal objects, and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.
  • Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees.

Requirements:

  • Two years of continuous recent experience as a MRI Technologist, with proficiency in all duties required of a MRI Technologist II.
  • License in the required state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn applications relevant to the position.
  • Two years of hospital experience in a clinical area, with EP preferred.
