About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dietary Cook/Aide/Dishwasher to join our team at Lillian Carter Health & Rehabilitation. As a key member of our healthcare support team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Wash and sanitize dishes, tableware, glasses, and other kitchen and dining room equipment, ensuring they are stored in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Assure work is performed in accordance with all federal, state, and facility regulations regarding sanitation and infection control.
  • Prepare and serve coffee, tea, juice, and other beverages as needed.
  • Wash and sanitize all pots, pans, and cooking utensils used to prepare meals.
  • Assist in cleaning work areas, dining room floor, dining room tables, and dining room chairs after each meal and occasionally after special events.
  • Sweep and mop the floor at the end of each shift.
  • May be responsible for between-meal nourishment and serving meals to residents in the dining area.
  • Assist with the pouring of beverages at each meal.
  • Assist in the cleaning of kitchen equipment, food storage area, and supply areas according to the facility schedule.
  • Remove garbage from the kitchen and clean trash containers.
  • Perform duties in a swift and orderly fashion to accomplish tasks within the allotted time.
  • Assure personal compliance to all state and federal regulations, including bloodborne pathogens, infection control, use of hazardous materials, and fire safety.
  • Assure personal compliance to residents' rights.
  • Follow safety procedures and comply with the schedule as established by the Dietary Manager.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with no significant violations.
  • Must meet all health requirements, including TB and drug screen.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
