We are a 24/7 Emergency Care Veterinary Hospital with 7 different Specialties.
Job OverviewThe Outpatient ER Technician will be responsible for triage patients as they present to the Emergency Room, assess pets, and provide immediate life-saving care under the direction of the ER doctor. The role requires excellent patient care, multitasking, and communication skills.
Responsibilities- Triages patients according to triage levels and provides medical decision-making support to ER doctors
- Takes medical history, vital signs, and concerns from pet owners to assist in the timely management of emergency patients
- Works with float technicians and assistants to perform diagnostics, execute treatment plans, and hospitalize patients
- Communicates medical updates, financials, and treatment plans to pet owners
- High School diploma or equivalent required; At least 1 year of animal experience; Veterinary Technician Certification
- Strong technical skills to provide efficient patient care; Ability to multitask and anticipate needs; Excellent communication skills
$25-$34 per hour (dependent on experience)
