Welcome to Princeton Community Hospital Association, Inc. We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in the Cardiac Laboratories department.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of Cardiac Ultrasound procedures and be able to perform complex imaging tests to facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Performing advanced non-invasive imaging procedures for Cardiac Laboratories
  • Proper billing of procedures and prioritizing patient scheduling
  • Coordinating and prioritizing patient scheduling to ensure timely procedure completion
  • Obtaining information for specific procedures, answering patient questions, and providing excellent customer service
  • Performing all non-invasive imaging procedures within established guidelines and timeframes
  • Notifying medical staff of significant abnormal findings
  • Documenting procedures in patient charts to inform physicians of test completion
  • Calculating and measuring cardiovascular structures to aid in diagnosis
  • Maintaining equipment, procedure rooms, and work areas in a clean and organized state
  • Completing accurate documentation through EPIC for proper billing
  • Maintaining patient and unit confidentiality
  • Supporting the development of junior sonographers through feedback and education
  • Participating in education and in-service opportunities to enhance knowledge
  • Acting as a preceptor for new sonographers
  • Providing preliminary reports and reviewing with physicians
  • Following and implementing Cardiac protocols and policies
  • Participating in the training of Cardiac ultrasound techniques and procedures

Requirements include:

  • Graduate of a Echocardiography or Ultrasound Program and certification in Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, lift 40 pounds, and possess keen visual acuity
