Job Title: Labor and Delivery RN Travel Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Labor and Delivery RN Travel Nurse to join our team. As a Labor and Delivery RN Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their newborns. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to expectant mothers and their newborns in a Labor and Delivery setting.
  • Assess and manage patients with high-risk pregnancies and provide care from 14 weeks and above.
  • Manage common conditions such as preeclampsia, diabetes, infections, preterm labor, placental abruption, substance abuse, and lack of prenatal care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • ACLS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, BLS, and NRP certifications.
  • COVID vaccine required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • C-section experience, circulating required, scrubbing preferred.
  • Willingness to float to postpartum.
  • Travel experience preferred.
Work Environment:

The department has 19 labor and delivery beds with 3 C-section suites. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of patients, including approximately 60 births per month. You will have access to a team of experienced healthcare professionals, including a Charge Nurse and OB tech, and will be supported by a comprehensive electronic medical record system.
