We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Oncology Nurse Specialist to join our team at Manatee Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients with lung cancer.
Responsibilities- Serve as a liaison between the surgeon, patient, and staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Assist with tracking the progress of our oncology program and identifying areas for improvement.
- Provide pre and post-operative education to patients and their families.
- Work closely with our multi-disciplinary team, physicians, and community partners to improve care and services for oncology patients.
- Promote patient, family, and physician satisfaction through effective communication and resource utilization.
- Lead clinical quality initiatives and demonstrate expertise in oncology nursing practice.
- RN required; BSN preferred.
- Current Florida State RN Licensure.
- BCLS and ACLS certification required.
- At least 2 years of experience in oncology nursing.
- Oncology Certification or obtained within 1 year.
- Strong leadership, critical thinking, and stress management skills.
