As a skilled mental health professional, you will provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services for adult and child members presenting with a range of mental health needs. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each member.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical treatment programs for members with acute or chronic mental illness.
- Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing evidence-based practices and research methods.
- Instruct and counsel patients and their families on adherence to prescribed therapeutic regimens and medication regimens, within the scope of practice.
- Administer specialized therapeutic procedures as needed, and provide support to members' families.
- Prepare intake summaries, treatment plans, and case summaries, maintaining confidential records in accordance with state and NCQA regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians in screening and evaluating patients for psychotropic medications, within the scope of practice.
- Utilize resources from public and private agencies and community organizations to meet members' treatment needs.
- Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) with Couples and Families Endorsement within 24 months of hire.
- National Provider Identifier required at hire.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions.
- Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and professional board standards related to member treatment, patient rights, and member/patient confidentiality.
- Previous post-license experience as a member of a psychiatric treatment team in an outpatient or inpatient setting/program under licensed supervision.
- Previous clinical responsibility, including crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy.
- Demonstrated professional maturity and ethical integrity necessary for assuming professional responsibilities.
