Product Manager

Andritz is seeking a highly skilled Product Manager to lead the growth of our non-OEM, competitive equipment segment in the Low Consistency Refiner service business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and driving business growth in this market segment, focusing on strategic initiatives, product expertise, service sourcing, and parts sourcing.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with support staff to ensure efficient execution of service projects and customer base development
- Provide direction to the sales force, develop proposals, product costing, and pricing with the LCRP Manager & Site Manager
- Provide product training to sales force and RPM's to enable them to explain and sell our product and services
- Travel to mills/customers required; participate in service work and system optimization as needed
- Lead project execution, including service and quality aspects, and make/buy decisions impacting competitiveness and profitability
- Manage gross margin and cost control
- Maintain annual budget with sales force and LCRP Manager/Site Manager/Regional Manager feedback
- Develop marketing and promotion strategies, drive research & development, and implement new products with the regional and global product team
- B.S. Degree in Engineering or minimum 5 years' experience
- Pulp and Paper Machinery experience required
- Paper Mill leadership experience highly desired
- Ability to identify customer needs, build new customer base, and maintain relationships for future business
- Strategic, logical, and methodical thinking, and independent decision-making skills for mechanical problem solving
- Organized, able to manage time, prioritize, pay close attention to detail, maintain accuracy, and work as a team member or independently
- Experience in management of commercial contracts, negotiations, and claim management
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in MS Word Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Comply with Company policies, procedures, confidentiality, and safety requirements
- Represent Company interests and be sensitive to customer satisfaction
Position performed in an office and/or remote home office environment. Frequent visits to mills and manufacturing facilities required. Environment: Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, dirt, fumes, remote controlled devices using radio signals. Physical conditions for position: Sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb, ascend/descend stairs, and lift up to 25 lbs. Must have visual acuity, excellent mobility, good hearing, manual dexterity, good balance, ability to endure long hours, and wear required personal protective equipment. All tasks performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
Travel Percentage
50 - 60% North America. Please note, previous DUI convictions can result in being inadmissible to Canada.
