Nutrition Assistant

We are seeking a Nutrition Aide to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in preparing meals, maintain food safety and sanitation standards, and work collaboratively with our team to provide high-quality services to our clients.

• Assist in preparing breakfasts and meals in accordance with posted menu and eat with children
• Check temperatures on all foods on arrival and follow re-heating procedure if temps are below 140 degrees
• Record food temperatures and refrigerator/freezer temperatures on Food Temperature Logs
• Prepare formula as necessary for infants attending Early Head Start and store per CACFP Guidelines
• Place food on tables immediately prior to eating
• Follow CACFP Guidelines Meal Pattern for children or infants for meal components and serving sizes
• Follow Food Safety and Leftover Procedure for storing leftovers and sending leftovers home with families
• Participate in CACFP and other training as requested
• Have a good working knowledge of MOC policies and procedures, Head Start/Early Head Start, EEC licensing regulations. Follow the Child Abuse and Neglect Policy
• Check and respond to Agency email on a regular basis

• High School Diploma or GED
• Access to reliable transportation
• Job site/assignments may change based upon program needs
• Must have a suitable Background Record Check (BRC)
• Fulfillment of all specific health and safety requirements (staff physical every 2 years, with evidence of Mantoux and MMR test, OSHA, First aid and CPR)
• Must be in good physical and mental health and be able to lift and carry children and/or related equipment, bend, squat, kneel and climb stairs
