Job Overview

Crittenton Services is actively seeking a dedicated full-time Facilities Maintenance Specialist. The primary responsibilities encompass landscaping and grounds upkeep, basic vehicle maintenance, simple construction tasks, and comprehensive janitorial services. This position may require travel to various locations across West Virginia for maintenance duties.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be capable of performing heavy work and possess two years of experience in janitorial and maintenance practices, including basic electrical and plumbing skills.
  • Must demonstrate good character and the ability to collaborate with others in a residential environment.
  • Ability to assist in the maintenance, upkeep, and minor repairs of agency equipment, including vehicles.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary.
  • Willingness to travel weekly as required to various agency locations statewide.
  • Applicants must be at least 23 years old per the West Virginia licensing requirements and must pass a background check and drug screening.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform janitorial duties for the Administrative Offices, Residential Administrative Offices, and all Residential buildings, including but not limited to: vacuuming and waxing floors, emptying trash, dusting and cleaning furniture, sanitizing restrooms, window cleaning, and yard maintenance.
  • Conduct the following maintenance activities:
    • Oversee all facilities, residences, grounds, and vehicles through routine inspections.
    • Carry out repairs and maintenance for all buildings, vehicles, and grounds.
    • Maintain accurate records of routine inspections and maintenance schedules, as well as necessary repairs, using an established documentation process.
    • Complete basic construction tasks as needed.
    • Manage the procurement, inventory, storage, and tracking of supplies, tools, and materials essential for maintenance operations.
    • Participate in a one-week on-call rotation with other department members to address emergency situations during evenings and weekends.
    • Perform maintenance tasks on an as-needed basis at off-campus locations.
  • Travel to various sites throughout the state weekly as needed to provide routine and preventive maintenance, as well as urgent repairs. This is estimated at one day per week but will depend on operational needs.
