We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric ICU Nurse to join our team at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. As a Pediatric ICU Nurse, you will provide excellent patient care to critically ill children in our state-of-the-art Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
Responsibilities- Provide life-sustaining care for pediatric patients in the ICU, including evaluating and documenting patient responses to interventions and responding quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and treatments based on age and clinical condition, including emergency medications.
- Work closely with department leadership and physicians to coordinate treatment plans and examinations.
- Educate parents on day-to-day operations, treatment plans, and at-home care procedures.
- Act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure.
- Current State of Idaho or Compact Registered Nurse License.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification within 7 days of hire.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification within 90 days of hire and maintain certification.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course and Certification within 90 days of hire and maintain certification.
- ENPC or TNCC within 18 months of hire.
- One to two years of recent critical care experience preferred.
Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center is a full-service hospital with 318+ patient beds, serving southeast Idaho, western Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park, and parts of Montana. Our facility has an ER, a Level II Trauma Center, a Level 1 ICU, and the only Burn Center in the state of Idaho. We have the region's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for critically ill children and a 74-bed Behavioral Health Center offering inpatient and outpatient mental health care for adolescents and adults.
