Job Overview

The Pediatric Vascular Access Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the highest quality care for our pediatric patients by providing expert support for all vascular access needs of inpatient and outpatient populations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Insert peripheral and ultrasound guided IVs, manage and monitor vascular access devices to prevent infections.
  • Prepare and collect laboratory specimens.
  • Provide direction and oversight to the EMT-Vascular Access regarding care, prioritization, of the patient population that the Vascular Access team supports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Two (2) years of nursing experience and proficient with peripheral IV insertion and care.
  • Certification(s): BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with at least 6 months left before expiration is required upon hire.
  • Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Work Environment

This position requires frequent standing/walking up to 12 hours per day and occasional lifting/forcing exerted up to 35 pounds. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $75,957.07 to $113,935.61, based on 40 hours worked per week. Hourly salary range: $36.52 to $54.78.
