About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team at HardHat Workforce Solutions. As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of electrical projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate electrical projects, including submittals, requests for information, and work with owners and clients on specifications and technical questions.
  • Coordinate with regional managers on project status and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Establish and maintain job cost control, track job costs monthly, and manage QA/QC on projects.
  • Review general conditions cost on a monthly basis and review subcontractor's application for payment based on percent complete and approve or adjust.
  • Issue change orders to subcontractors and assist with the management of the bid turnover and project startup process.
  • Provide status updates and maintain documentation records, and develop and maintain a positive relationship with vendors and clients.
  • Manage Requests for Information (RFI) submission, tracking, response evaluation, and implementation, and manage document control and distribution for projects.
  • Support monthly billing process, including jobsite walks/status evaluation, coordination with the client, and monitoring of billing and cost data.
  • Evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans and actual work, and implement and monitor quality control programs on projects.
  • Regularly visit projects to assess performance, progress, and quality, and ensure connectivity with the field and clients.
  • Ensure that all safety and environmental policies of the Company and project owners are followed by all project personnel.
  • Manage closeout and commissioning process tracking and subcontractor/vendor tracking to ensure timely submission of project closeout documentation.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of electrical experience/knowledge of construction, design, and cost management as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Engineer with Commercial, Institutional projects.
  • BS in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience preparing take-offs and estimates for change orders.
  • Advanced abilities in reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
  • Knowledge of NECA codes and TIA standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of NEC and the NFPA codes and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, materials, means & methods, etc.) as well as an understanding of Company and industry practices, processes, and standards and their impact on project activities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint), Bluebeam, Change Order, and Accubid, or other estimation software, and BOS (Berg Operating System).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to present self in a professional manner and represent the company image.
  • Demonstrated track record of leadership and project success.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
