Role and Team

This role supports our business by inspecting vehicles for condition, wear, and damage, ensuring accurate results and efficient processing. As a vehicle condition reviewer, you will interact with dealers and consumers professionally, providing exceptional customer service and resolving inquiries in a friendly and courteous manner.


Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Provide professional communication with customers, resolving inquiries and complaints in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Vehicle Inspection: Inspect vehicles for signs of wear, damage, and neglect, ensuring accurate results and adherence to defined programs.
  • Data Capture: Capture data accurately on a mobile device, working comfortably with software and technology.
  • Productivity: Deliver results in a timely manner, maintaining productivity levels as set forth by management.
  • Quality Control: Collaborate with management and sales team members to improve services provided, ensuring consistent, accurate inspections with minimal errors.
  • Maintenance: Maintain equipment and tools properly, advising management of any maintenance or breakdown needs.
  • Vehicle Preparation: Ensure vehicles are in clean condition, with radios, seats, mirrors, and other convenience items in the same position as when the vehicle arrives.
  • Reporting: Submit completed condition reports using the appropriate technology.
  • Special Tasks: Complete road tests as required by contract or inspection type, staying up-to-date on technology updates and new releases.
  • Competitor Knowledge: Develop and maintain knowledge and expertise in areas of competitor products.

Qualifications

  • Age and Education: Must be at least 18 years old, with a demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools, with a valid driver's license.
  • Experience and Skills: 1 year of automotive experience, mechanical aptitude, and ability to enter data on a handheld device.
  • Certifications and Training: Must be able to identify previous structural/body damage, basic mechanical issues, and sludge, suspension damage, or radiator damage.

Physical Working Conditions

This position involves working in both inside and outside environments, with temperature changes, outside weather conditions, and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems.

Estimated Salary

$45,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.


The estimated salary range is based on industry standards and the required skills and qualifications for the Vehicle Quality Assurance Inspector role at Carvana.
