Culinary Specialist

Ebenezer is seeking a skilled Cook/Chef to join our Assisted Living team at Amira Choice Roseville-on Cleveland Senior Living. This flexible schedule position is responsible for preparing and cooking meals as assigned using standardized recipes to meet established culinary standards of high quality care.

• Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes and culinary standards.
• Handle and prepare food in a safe manner following policies and infection control and safety standards.
• Ensure timely production and meal service is provided to residents.
• Set up line service and clean and sanitize equipment and work area after each use.
• Assist with special events and assist Culinary Director with supervision and training of culinary staff.

• ServSafe certification or must be acquired within 90 days of start date.
• Basic math skills and comfortable using Microsoft applications.
• Good problem-solving and time leadership skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Vocational/technical training/education/degree.
• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Cooking experience in a similar environment.
• Scratch cooking experience.
