As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the nursing department to ensure the highest quality of care for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resident Rounds: Conduct regular rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care, ensuring that our residents receive the best possible care.
- Charting and Documentation: Ensure that all nursing care and medication documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
- Nursing Staffing: Recommend the number and levels of nursing personnel to be employed, ensuring that we have the right staff to meet the needs of our residents.
- Budget Management: Participate in the budget process and manage the nursing supply, equipment, and nurse staffing budgets.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain current knowledge of applicable managed care, Medicare, and state Medicaid regulations, reimbursement systems, and methodology.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement program, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance the quality of care.
Requirements:
- RN License: Current RN license in the state.
- Leadership Experience: Director of Nursing, management, or supervisor experience in long-term care, restorative, or geriatric nursing.
- Certifications: Current CPR certification and additional certification in a nursing specialty desired.
