Job Description
At TPI Staffing, Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes and mills, manual mill, and lathe to produce products to print specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC controlled metal-cutting and related processing machines and equipment.
- Plan and perform setups, first article layouts, and execution of work according to product specifications, blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Inspect all materials, components, etc. to assure they meet the accepted quality standards.
- Participate in Lean events with active involvement in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Responsible for the safe operation of tools and machinery while performing daily tasks.
- Responsible for the reporting of unsafe acts or conditions to supervision immediately as noticed.
- Ensure accurate movement of inventory through their assigned area – transactions, production reporting, resolution of negatives, etc.
- Complete required inspection documentation, marking of heat numbers and hold tags.
- Must employ Oracle to navigate and execute tasks to complete work orders, WIP transactions, material workbench, supply demand, material requirements.
- Perform daily maintenance check sheet.
- Operate forklift and pallet jack as required for tasks.
- Report unsafe acts or conditions to supervision immediately as noticed.
Requirements:
- Qualified to train others.
- Can run standard work.
- Assists in orienting, training, assigning, and checking the work of less experienced machinist.
- Document training provided.
- Complete and report PR's and ECN reports.
- Perform first piece quality audits and roving audits as required.
- Comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing process as it pertains to your respective production cell(s).
