Senior Instructor

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Instructor to join our Personal Enrichment program at Hagerstown Community College. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality non-credit courses that cater to the diverse needs of adult learners.

• Course Development: Plan engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of various student levels and backgrounds.
• Instructor Skills: Provide differentiated instruction using technology, standards-based delivery methods, and a variety of instructional approaches.
• Student Engagement: Actively engage students in discussion and critical thinking, promoting open-minded inquiry and cooperation among participants.
• Cultural Sensitivity: Infuse multicultural perspectives into your instructional processes and demonstrate respect for individual and cultural differences.

• Education and Experience: Appropriate education level (varies based on course teaching) and previous experience teaching.
• Skills and Abilities: Basic computer skills, excellent presentation skills, and ability to build rapport with students.

• Bachelor's, Master's degree, or PhD: Relevant field of study.
• Teaching Experience: Previous experience teaching at a post-secondary level, especially working with adult learners.
