At US Renal Care, we are committed to providing high-quality care to patients with kidney disease. As a Dialysis Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in our team, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse to provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment to patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including gathering patient stats before and after treatment, initiating treatment, monitoring patients during treatment, terminating treatment, and collecting patient blood samples per physician orders.
- Ensure quality comes first by preparing machines for hemodialysis treatments, cleaning and disinfecting machines after treatment, and conducting machine safety checks and logging results for quality control.
- Use appropriate safety measures, including personal protective equipment, and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws and regulations.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
- Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
- Must be comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.
- Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
