About the Role

At US Foods, Inc., we are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Repair Technician to join our team. As a critical member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of diesel road equipment.

Job Description

This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various types of heavy equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units. You will work closely with other technicians to complete repairs, perform routine maintenance, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

In addition to your technical skills, this position requires excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. You must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintain a high level of productivity.

Requirements
  • 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic experience or 2 years with TK or Refrigeration certification
  • Demonstrated expertise in diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and service documentation
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to adapt to changing organizational needs and priorities
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $26.00 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401K, and life insurance. Eligible new hires also receive a $5,000 retention bonus.

Working Conditions

This role requires standing, walking, driving, lifting (up to 120-150 pounds), pushing/pulling, climbing/balancing, stooping/squatting, kneeling/bending, and reaching above shoulder level.
