Job Title: Senior Web Application Test Engineer

NASA's Qualified Technical Services (QTS) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Web Application Test Engineer to join our team at the Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the testing effort for the mission control software built on NASA's Open Mission Control Technologies (Open MCT) platform.



You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of software developers, user interface designers, and spacecraft design and operations teams to ensure the highest quality of our web applications. Your expertise in automated web application and performance testing will be instrumental in driving the success of our mission.



To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in web application testing, with a focus on automated testing and performance optimization. You will also need to be able to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance to junior team members.

Requirements:




  • 6+ years of web application testing experience
  • Strong background in automated web application and performance testing
  • Practical experience with automated web testing tools such as Jasmine, Karma, Jest, Selenium, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to function in fast-moving/dynamic teams working on high-pressure projects


Desired Skills:




  • Developing complex applications in JavaScript
  • Performance optimization for JavaScript applications
  • JavaScript static analysis tools such as ESLint
  • Using CI/CD tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, or CircleCI
  • Experience testing desktop applications
