We are currently seeking a full-time Appointment Coordinator for our dynamic outpatient imaging center. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while accurately gathering and entering patient demographic and insurance details into our RIS system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming calls from patients and medical offices to schedule requested imaging exams.
  • Initiate outbound calls to patients for scheduling exams based on received orders.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to all callers.
  • Address initial scheduling inquiries and resolve issues via telephone.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot caller concerns as necessary.
  • Manage non-routine calls that may require deviation from standard procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications for Success:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous.
  • Experience in a call center environment is a plus.
  • Intermediate computer skills and customer service expertise are essential.
  • Strong organizational abilities and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, HMOs, and PPOs is beneficial.
