Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Team at Studco Building Systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair roll formers and other equipment, properly documenting machine issues in our maintenance program.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform and document preventative maintenance as required, including routine checks on control wiring and root cause analysis of critical failures.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Replace and repair bearings, shafts, dies, punches, sleeves, and rolls, as well as machining and fitting to modify machinery, rolls, dies, and equipment.
  • PLC and Control Systems: Troubleshoot and diagnose PLC control systems software and hardware issues, as well as AMS/Eclipse Rollforming software system and issues.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Liaise with all levels of employees, communicate machine issues/downtime to other shifts, and work as a team to minimize machine downtime and improve efficiencies.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: PLC trouble shooting, control wiring experience, machine electrical troubleshooting, hydraulic experience, pneumatic experience, machine break down experience, mechanical aptitude, and experience with equipment build, process automation, and shop floor control systems.
  • Preferred Skills: Able to perform manual work, welding, fabrication, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills for equipment repair, and tool and die experience.
Working Conditions

This role will work a split shift or 2nd shift (3 PM - 12 AM) and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to our Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) requirements.
