Housekeeper Job Description

Location: Charlestown by Erickson Senior Living

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Charlestown, a beautiful 110-acre continuing care retirement community in Catonsville, Maryland. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our residents' homes and common areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain resident homes in Independent Living and Resident Rooms in Nursing Home
  • Use specialized equipment to maintain the cleanliness of the Community
  • Clean public bathrooms, including counters, mirrors, sinks, lavatories, and fixtures
  • Clean lobbies, living rooms, including vacuuming, high and low dusting, de-cluttering, and removing trash, spot clean walls, windows, switches, baseboards, pictures, lights, and HVAC vents
  • Clean classrooms, including dusting, vacuuming, whiteboards, tables, and chairs
  • Assist with the collection, bagging, and disposal of trash, as well as replacing trashcan liners
  • Maintain carpeted surfaces, including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, and vacuuming

Requirements:
  • Previous experience cleaning in a residential or commercial setting is ideal
  • Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, trash removal equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member
  • Ability to safely operate Housekeeping vehicles
  • Ability to demonstrate professional and responsive interactions with residents and their family members, staff, vendors, and each other
