Regulatory Compliance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team at Elevate Power Management LLC. This role involves working closely with our operations team to ensure the company's compliance with FERC regulations and developing effective strategies to mitigate regulatory risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regulatory Due Diligence: Conduct thorough reviews to identify regulatory risks and propose mitigation strategies for the acquisition of development and operating assets.
  • Regulatory Oversight: Provide ongoing regulatory oversight for all projects, acting as a subject matter expert and advisor to internal teams, addressing regulatory challenges promptly and proactively to keep projects on track.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and stakeholders to stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices, establishing and maintaining positive relationships to facilitate smooth project approvals and compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in regulatory compliance associated with state agencies and the FERC regulations associated with hydropower operations, with previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • In-depth knowledge of FERC regulations and compliance requirements, strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, and project management expertise.
Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $170,000 per year
