As a solutions architect within a team of architects, you will support all phases of the product development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, conceptual design, detailed design, software construction, and application deployment.
Your responsibilities will include defining and communicating a unified technical and architectural strategy across various domains, business lines, and initiatives.
About the Team: FIS' scalable IBS banking platform empowers growth-oriented financial institutions to make data-driven decisions and develop next-generation products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain a repository of technical component models for FIS product lines.
- Document technical product solutions and key FIS financial services opportunities.
- Maintain a repository of reusable technical application components relevant to applications and product lines.
- Align architecture with business strategy while applying modern technology practices.
- Advocate for modern technical and DevOps practices.
- Provide architectural guidance as products transition from legacy technologies.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in articulating the value of new IT strategies.
- Highly technical and hands-on.
- Capable of providing seed code to development teams.
- Must be able to create and own technical designs (good examples can be found on platforms like Stack Overflow).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure or AWS preferred).
- A generalist approach is preferred over specialization in any one specific area, as this role has a broad scope.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Hands-on experience with Open-Source Cloud-Native tools (5 years).
- Practical experience with large data sets (structured, semi-structured, unstructured).
- Experience with Angular, Java, JavaScript, SAML, and Restful APIs.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience; post-graduate education is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with COBOL is desirable.
- Familiarity with IMS/DB2 is preferred.

The pay range for this full-time position is $117,000 to $197,580.00, reflecting the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries based on the role, level, and location. Within this range, actual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
