**Job Summary**
Crane Co. is seeking a skilled Assembly Specialist to join our team in the production of high-quality fluid handling systems. As an Assembly Specialist, you will be responsible for assembling fabricated parts at workstations, testing and calibrating parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assemble parts according to standardized work instructions and product specifications.
- Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to ensure they meet tolerances and product specifications.
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.
- Identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repair as necessary.
- Position parts according to the knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints or work instructions.
- Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
- Operate air tools, arbor presses, hand tools, or special machines to assist in assembly operation.
- Assemble specified bolts to specific torque values.
- Assemble nameplates and other labels as required on B.O.M.
- Perform specified electrical performance tests on sub-assemblies and assembled products.
- Perform pump flow tests using water tanks and test panels. Verify pump performance against engineered standards.
- Read performance charts and graphs. Record data as required.
- Assist on paint line as needed.
- Complete key performance indicators (KPI's) for performance measurement.
- Assist material handler with setups and change over.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Requirements**
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
- Mechanical/electrical aptitude preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a familiarity of pumps and pump systems desired.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds frequently.
