Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled LPN Medication Care Manager to join our team at Sunrise Senior Living. As a Medication Care Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care and services for our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to administer medications and treatments in a safe and organized manner, while also providing exceptional resident care and promoting a positive living environment.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments to residents in a safe and organized manner
  • Document medication administration and maintain accurate records
  • Conduct Service and Health Updates as directed by the Resident Care Director
  • Participate in the development of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and monthly updates
  • Transcribe orders and maintain accurate records
  • Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA and British Columbia Workers Compensation Act regulations
  • Practice safety procedures at all times, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and fire extinguishers
  • Report all accidents and incidents immediately
  • Ensure the Medication Room, medication carts, and treatment carts are maintained in a clean and organized manner
Requirements
  • LPN, LVN, or state/province specific licensed nurse credential
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Ability to make choices and decisions in the best interest of residents
  • Ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
