Role Description
A healthcare institution is seeking a Cardiovascular Advanced Practice Provider to deliver full-time medical services.
Practice Environment
- Work alongside a team of committed healthcare professionals delivering comprehensive care to adult patients.
- Benefit from robust support staff, including 2 Registered Nurses, 3 Advanced Practice Providers, and 3 administrative personnel.
- Utilize Epic for charting and documentation.
Work Schedule
- Standard shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Participate in a 1:4 beeper call rotation, which includes one weekday and one weekend per month.
- Weekend responsibilities involve hospital rounds followed by on-call duties.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Manage a high volume of cardiovascular surgical cases.
- Anticipate a patient load of approximately 11 individuals per shift.
- Preferred skills include vein harvesting with Maquet equipment and proficiency in open radial or harmonic scalpel techniques.
Qualifications
- Board Eligible Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Provider with specialization in Cardiovascular Surgery.
- Cardiovascular/Thoracic Surgery Certification of Added Qualifications (CAQ) is preferred.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of recent experience in Cardiovascular Surgery is preferred but not required.
