Children’s Museum of Denver Inc is seeking a highly skilled STEAM Educator to join our team. As a STEAM Educator, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for school-aged audiences (ECE through 3rd Grade) at the Museum, in the community, and during special events.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming and inclusive environment, collaborating with program coordinators and early childhood programs manager, and designing innovative programming in collaboration with the community programs manager. Additionally, they will implement a robust calendar of activities, serve as day-of operations point-of-contact for on-site field trips and scheduled outreach programs, collect and track attendance data, maintain inventory of program supplies, and support the Museum Associate team in operations of Museum exhibits.

Requirements
  • We are looking for an individual with fluent English and Spanish proficiency, a Bachelor's degree in STEAM education or a related field, and 1+ years of experience planning and facilitating programming in an educational setting for children and/or families.
  • A strong commitment to the Museum’s mission, vision, and values of diversity, equity, access, and inclusion is essential. You should also have excellent presentation and teaching skills, classroom management techniques, and experience working with neurodivergent audiences and individuals with disabilities.
  • Familiarity with computer software, including Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office, is required, as well as a valid driver’s license for off-site activities.
Salary and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $22.70 - 24.14 per hour, commensurate with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time-off, 401(k) retirement plan, employee assistance program, flexible spending account, and short-term disability. Free parking, family membership to the Museum, and discounts to the Gift Shop and Caf are also included.

Work Environment

This position operates in both indoor and outdoor environments, where variable temperatures, light levels, crowds, and noise levels are common. The employee will interact and communicate with adults and children frequently, using standard office equipment and common cleaning supplies.
