Job Title: CT Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team at Industrial Staffing Services Inc dba Equiliem. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing computer tomography procedures and related techniques to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex CT procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
  • Review and obtain patient clinical history, documenting information in PACS and EPIC systems.
  • Prepare and review contrast questionnaires with patients and/or family members, scanning information into EPIC.
  • Identify and administer contrast media as prescribed by licensed practitioners.
  • Verify patient prescriptions, communicating with Radiologists and Referring Physicians as needed.
  • Responsible for calling physicians to clarify prescriptions and obtain additional clinical information.
  • Verify insurance authorized exam scripts and send modification forms to Finance for re-verification.
  • Obtain outside studies (CDs) and schedule them in EPIC for comparison by Radiologists.
  • Provide exam copies to patients and requesting physicians and/or family members.
  • Evaluate radiographs using PACS to ensure proper identification and diagnostic value.
  • Use consistent techniques to gather relevant information from medical records, significant others, and healthcare providers.
  • Determine patient preparation for procedures, including shielding and immobilization devices.
  • Determine appropriate contrast type and dose for administration.
  • Provide accurate explanations and instructions to patients, addressing and documenting questions and concerns.
  • Perform venipuncture, IV patency, and maintenance procedures according to established guidelines.
  • Monitor patient physical condition for adverse reactions during procedures.
  • Work scheduled shifts, including holidays and weekends, with overtime as needed.
  • Adhere to Department of Radiology policy for on-call assignments.
  • Meet physical demands of the job, including lifting, pushing, and standing for extended periods.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist.
  • Relevant equipment experience.
  • A valid license as a radiologic technologist, nuclear medicine technologist, or radiation therapist issued by the NYSDOH.
  • Post-primary certification in computed tomography issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • BLS certification preferred.
