Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catheterization Laboratory Technologist to join our team on a contract basis. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting in the performance of diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the cath lab, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the procedure, positioning the patient, and applying ECG leads.
- Assist the physician during procedures, including injecting contrast media, monitoring the patient's vital signs, and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Operate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy and ultrasound machines.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and outcomes.
- Current certification as a Catheterization Laboratory Technologist (CRT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a cath lab setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
