Job Overview

Atlantic Management Resources, Inc is collaborating with a leading laboratory diagnostics organization in search of a skilled Cytology Specialist.

This position presents a remarkable opportunity for a qualified Cytology Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct microscopic examinations and provide diagnoses for gynecological and non-gynecological slides, identifying infectious, pre-malignant, and malignant conditions.
  • Ensure the integrity of specimens and accurate patient identification for all analyzed samples.
  • Uphold the confidentiality of patient test results in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Adhere to all applicable local, federal, CLIA, and CAP regulations.
  • Engage in a CMS-approved proficiency-testing program annually, as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Cytology (preferred).
  • Completion of an accredited Cytology program.
  • Fulfill ASCP requirements for Cytotechnologist (if not certified prior to employment, must achieve ASCP registry within one year of start date).
  • Certificate of Completion for SurePath, ThinPrep, and Imager.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience; new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
Compensation:
  • Hourly wage approximately $40 - $42.
  • Sign-on bonus: $15,000 for full-time positions; $7,500 for part-time roles.
