Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Nurse Specialist to join our team at NorthShore PC Service. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with colleagues to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

About the Role:
This is a full-time position that requires a current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL and BLS/CPR Certification for the Healthcare Provider. If you are a new graduate nurse, prior nursing experience or CNA experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops a comprehensive plan of care that identifies interventions to achieve expected outcomes, evaluates patient progress, and revises diagnosis and interventions as needed.
  • Provides thorough patient assessments, collects health data, and communicates plans to patients and families regularly.
  • Documents patient health data, interventions, and communications accurately and efficiently.
  • Individualizes patient and family teaching based on thorough assessments and learning needs.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to share knowledge, provide feedback, and contribute to a supportive clinical environment.
  • Nurtures a compassionate environment by providing emotional support and assistance to patients and families.
  • Performs tasks such as assisting with injections, venipuncture, and administration of medications under the guidance of licensed staff.
  • Participates in performance improvement activities, research, and ongoing education to stay updated on best practices in wound/ostomy/skin care.

Estimated Salary:$70,000 - $90,000 per year
Requirements:
  • Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL
  • BLS/CPR Certification for the Healthcare Provider
  • Prior nursing experience or CNA experience preferred (new graduate nurses may apply)
