Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. As a Neuro Med/Surg Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients with complex neurological conditions.
  • Administer medications and treatments, including pain management strategies and dressing changes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Utilize advanced equipment and technology, including EPIC and Vocera, to provide efficient and effective care.
  • Work in a dynamic environment with a patient ratio of 4-5 on days and 5-6 on nights.
Requirements:
  • Active IL RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Med/Surg Neuro
  • BLS (American Heart) and NIHSS certification
  • Ability to work every other weekend and participate in a 3-day orientation program
