Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at AnthroMed Education. This is an exciting opportunity to work with students from Kindergarten to 5th grade, providing them with the communication skills they need to succeed.

About the Role

This full-time position is part of our speech therapy team, and the ideal candidate will have experience working in a school-based setting. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing treatment plans, conducting evaluations, and collaborating with parents and other stakeholders to support student progress.

Responsibilities
  • Provide year-round services to students through direct, small group sessions, and push-in strategies, utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance communication skills.
  • Create and implement treatment plans for a caseload of 35-50 students, tailored to meet their individual needs.
  • Develop and implement IEPs for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), incorporating specific, measurable goals that align with each student's unique requirements.
  • Regularly monitor and document student progress towards IEP goals, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Deliver training on functional life skills for students approaching graduation, equipping them with the tools they need to thrive in their future endeavors.
  • Implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and strategies, including communication boards, speech-generating devices, and sign language, as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and school district regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
  • Collaborate with the department by participating in team meetings with service providers, Special Education teachers, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
Requirements
  • Prior experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting with students in grades K-5.
  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • A valid Pennsylvania SLP license from the Pennsylvania Board of Speech-Language Pathologists.
  • A valid Pennsylvania Education Specialist Certificate from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
