About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Seasonal Telemetry team at St. David's Round Rock Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare family, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
Requirements
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse with Associate Degree.
