Associate Business Manager, Investment

As a key member of the COO team at Man Numeric, you will play a vital role in supporting the business unit's various functions.

This team is responsible for organizing the Investment engine objectives and collaborating with stakeholders across Numeric and the broader Man organization.

Responsibilities will include project management, coordinating meetings and materials, organizing current business/strategic initiatives, and ensuring the general needs of the business are being met.

Having an understanding of investment management and how an investment management organization operates would greatly benefit your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project management - leading projects of varying size, difficulty, and expertise, spanning departments and supporting technology and investment-related initiatives.
  • Process management - identifying areas for business process improvements and suggesting and coordinating changes, building an understanding of operational risk and supporting needs within that area.
  • Data entry and organization - including terms and agreement support with legal, operational risk tracking, and project tracking.
  • Meeting preparation, coordination, support, and follow-ups - leading projects and supporting ongoing initiatives.
  • Ad-hoc requests - responding to changing priorities and objectives for the business.

Requirements:

  • Proven project management skills.
  • Experience with process improvement.
  • Able to set timelines and requirements, delegate tasks, and stay on top of deliverables.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Ability to identify needs of teams and communicate to management.

General Capabilities:

  • Self-starter with strong ability to self-prioritize and multi-task.
  • Capability to produce a variety of raw materials - PowerPoint, Excel, Visio.
  • Manage multiple priorities and projects at a time.
  • Support functions that may not be clearly defined and take initiative.
