Financial Modeling Director Job Description


Corient, a leading wealth management platform, seeks a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Modeling Director to join its finance team. This role will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and enhancing complex financial models that support key decision-making processes across the organization.


As a Financial Modeling Director, you will be responsible for:



  • Developing dynamic financial models to evaluate business performance, strategic initiatives, and potential investments.
  • Creating models to forecast financial outcomes, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flows, and budgets.
  • Continuously updating and refining models based on changing business environments and assumptions.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and assumptions for financial modeling and provide scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess risks and opportunities. Additionally, you will support business units by modeling the financial impacts of strategic decisions such as acquisitions, new product launches, and capital expenditures.


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field, with a Master's or MBA being a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial modeling, forecasting, or a related financial analysis role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the ability to build complex financial models from scratch, with knowledge of macros and VBA being a plus.
  • Experience with financial software such as Bloomberg, SAP, Oracle, or Hyperion.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, corporate finance concepts, and accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
