Radiology Technologist Job Description at Ascension Saint Thomas

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Imaging Services: Provide diagnostic imaging services to patients, including X-rays, CT scans, and other imaging modalities.
  2. Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain complex imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  3. Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  4. Collaboration: Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Technologist (RT) in Radiography, Cardiac Interventional Radiography, or another relevant specialty.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, preferably in a radiology department.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Estimated annual salary: $68,500, based on experience.
