Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Dent Neurologic Group LLP. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating and participating in various clinical and administrative patient care activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, ensuring compliance with quality assurance, HIPAA, and safety regulations.
  • Support patient care by maintaining liaison with physicians and practice administration.
  • Manage patient messages and phone calls, determining urgency and responding accordingly.
  • Accurately document patient information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Prepare e-prescriptions for provider evaluation and completion.
  • Assist with insurance and compensation forms, and coordinate scheduling with medical secretaries.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, and ensure proper inventory of medical supplies.
Requirements
  • Active NYS Practical Nurse License.
  • Successful completion of an LPN program from an accredited college or technical school.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to address and resolve conflicts professionally.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
  • Minimal physical effort, with frequent walking and potentially prolonged periods of standing.
  • May involve assistance to disabled patients in transfers to and from wheelchairs.
  • Regular fine hand manipulation, with associated health risks related to patient exposure.
