Cafeteria Staff

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cafeteria Worker to join our team at Billerica Public Schools. As a Cafeteria Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our students by preparing and serving nutritious meals.

• Prepare and cook meals according to USDA regulations and recipes
• Operate kitchen equipment, including dishwashers and point-of-sale systems
• Set up serving areas and maintain a clean and sanitary environment
• Serve meals to students and maintain a positive and respectful attitude
• Adhere to safe and sanitary working practices and procedures
• Maintain facilities in a clean and sanitary condition
• Perform duties involved in the safe preparation and handling of food, cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities, and serving of food
• Assist students in the cafeteria serving area and perform other general duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Ability to stand for duration of work shift
• Ability to lift 40lbs
• Ability to follow written and oral instruction
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and maintain a high level of productivity and attention to detail.
