Job Title: Travel Nurse RN Med Surg

We are seeking a highly skilled Travel Nurse RN Med Surg to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a Travel Nurse RN Med Surg, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

Job Summary:

This is a 13-week travel nursing job in Norwich, New York, with 36 hours per week and 12-hour shifts. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
  • Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
  • Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
  • Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
  • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
  • Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
  • Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patient.
  • Educate patients on surgical procedures.
  • Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
Requirements:
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • 2 years of recent acute care experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
